The unique Hi-Tecpoint nib delivers a precise line of pure liquid ink, giving you a bright, dense colour, and the ink flow controller system keeps the flow consistent until the very last drop. Hi-Tecpoint Nib Technology
Pilot Hi-Tecpoint pens have a unique stainless steel tip that uses 3 or 4 dimples to support the ball. In previously used systems the ball was seated by hollowing out the metal tip The advantages of Pilot's Hi-Tecpoint system is that the ball is supported by the dimple points thus reducing the surface wear and allowing a smoother rotation of the ball.
Liquid Ink System
The V System ink regulator is a direct result of Pilot's fountain pen technology. If excess ink flows from the ink reservoir while writing, it is temporarily stored in the special pen core by capillary action. In that way, amount of ink flowing to the pen point always stays constant. This mechanism ensures that the ink supply remains stable to the last drop.
The ATT System
A dry pen point, ink blotching and ink leaking, all common problems with water-based rollerball, have been eliminated. The ATT System (Air Tight & Through) is a sort of cap within a cap. It makes it possible to keep the pen completely sealed, assuring that the pen is ready to use first time and every time.
