This is real handy to expand available outlets and to provide surge protection. I like that the surge protector can be attached to the wall outlet. Because of the plugs are parallel to the wall, this is also handy to use right behind a couch or other furniture that you want close to the wall. Have been using APC products for 20 years and I am yet to be disappointed.

Have a handful of these around the house, could never have enough so I ordered a couple more

It was not a sale or clearance item, but the package was stapled. When I opened the box, the item was out of the package. There was no cushioning foam or papers even a delivery note inside the box. Shocks can cause malfunctions later on. This is not the first time something like this has happened to me. I wish this item working properly.
