This does not perform the same as the original HP83X, this compatible only work for certain printer so you may end up wasting the money in buying this compatible. This happened to me and I order 2 and what a waste of money because I've open them and they wont do anything.

I usually buy cartridges for my other printer. The first cartridge had to be removed because it was leaving toner smears on each page. The new cartridge makes a ticking sound like it is not functioning properly. It worries me that it could damage my new printer.
