Think of this as modern-day rabbit ears, without all the twisting and turning between stations. Don't expect miracles - For the price, this is the simplest way to pick up some digital stations if they transmit from not too far away and you have line-of-sight. Because of the small size, I always keep one handy to help with diagnosing reception issues where larger antennas are far from the set, but we also use one permanently for a small set in a room where routing a cable from the main antenna would be difficult. In the right location, it picks up 80% of what the larger antenna does which is good enough for us.

OTA DTV can’t get much easier or affordable than this. It took me five minutes to plug in the antenna and run the channel discovery on my TV. Picture and audio quality is fantastic, and only thing I really had to put any thought into was where I wanted to mount the antenna, but it worked pretty much anywhere I put it. We now have this on three of our TVs and it’s fantastic for cord-cutters that still want local broadcast content like the news.

Able to get 6 channels on the south shore from Montreal but after our renovations the TV is not mounted on the wall yet and is sitting on the floor. So maybe I can get one or two more channels once the TV is in it's final location and I can mount the antenna higher up on the wall.
