This is a new concept for me the induction cooktop unlike the traditional electric cooktop which utilize heating wires to generate heat. The induction cooktop on the other hand uses an electric current runs through the coil, generating a fluctuating magnetic field, but no heat on the burner itself, once an iron or stainless steel pan placed on the top the magnetic filed induces many smaller electric currents in the metal and convert the energy into heat. I love hotpot and this is perfect for me. No more changing gas can and it provides a precise control of the heat and make the perfect companion for hotpot. The cooktop finished with a nice smooth glass top cover and all touch controlled buttons which gives a very elegant combination.

First one arrived with major cracks with lots of shattered little shards of glass everywhere, even got a splinter because I didn't notice it right away. Only when the shards fell through the package holes in the bag did I notice. I never got to use the product, as it was never opened, and immediately returned. Replacement works fine so far after a couple of months, having been used a handful of times. I use it outdoors when the weather is nice to cook steaks in a carbon steel pan and to avoid the grease/smoke in the house. Pots/Pans get real hot real fast, I only need to use 1200-1400 W setting to get a great sear on my steaks.

Bought it half price. à really good deal. it boil water in minutes. Now I usé it everyday. Good bang for the buck.
