This item is perfect. The instructions are a little vague about how to open the legs and I was worried about forcing them at first but that is what you do. There is no button to release the legs just a compression-type joint. Just flip the legs open and you are set up. This has served me very well so far and I can't believe I ever lived without it now.

This is a great product that is properly built. It is really useful when working with a laptop in a big chair!!!
