The build quality is there; however, if your phone is on the verge of the biggest width, it doesn't clamp properly. I have a Note 9 with a thin case and it didn't clamp. but using my Note 4 (which is a bit thinner) it worked fine.

kinna heavy. by itself mounting on air vent makes the flap drop.
