The frame is great, the process of putting it together is needlessly laborius. The thick coat of black paint coats the screw threads, so I highly recommend putting screws through all holes in the corner pieces (all the way through and back at least once) before assembly. It may feel you cannot; persist—go back and forth and try to get further each time. The middle bars are also a little too tight, but I did get all of them in all the way. Lastly, one of my pieces was bent at the end where another rod is meant to inserted, so I almost couldn't get it through, but I was able to force it in. I am very pleased with the end result, though: Over a foot of actual clearance for storage under the bed; unassuming, not an eyesore, sturdy.

Nice frame, nice finish, takes up minimal space, very easy to put together, very sturdy, love the height (not too high or too low with mattress on, and lots storage space underneath if needed. I recommend it.
