Overhead Ceiling Garage Rack Adjustable Heavy Duty Storage Rack 4FT x 6FT - Enduran™
The parts are well made, all bolt holes align properly, paint is good. I ordered 2, installed end to end it's 12'x4', mounted rear side on the wall. IMO there are 2 issues: 1- the angle for ceiling mounting should be 5" longer, this would allow 3 joists to be screwed into instead of 2. The instructions say that the hanger should be between the screws into the ceiling, that can be hard to achieve if you have a specific location and no flexibility to move the rack to suit the ceiling joist locations. 2- although the rack goes together nicely and appears rigid both of the 6' long racks sagged appox 1/2" -3/4" between the corner hangers under very light loading no where near the claimed 450lb capacity. The sag was visually noticeable and caused a conflict with a door below. IMO the sag would be solved if the connector angle extended to bolt holes closest to the corners. Fortunately because I installed on the wall on 1 side and 1 end and only 16" below the ceiling I had left over ceiling brackets and hangers and was able to add angles on the wall to support the middle of the span and an extra hanger near the center span at the front to solve the sagging. Practically and visually not ideal but the sage was unacceptable due to the door conflict. If the door wasn't hitting I likely wouldn't have added the extra hangers at the front side and only the extra angle brackets on the wall side and would have tried to ignore the visuals. Note- it's not mentioned in instructions but if you mount the long side on a wall you will need to shim the brackets min 1/2" off the wall to avoid the bolt heads conflicting with the wall. I found that out the hard way after installing all the wall brackets and then assembling the rack, noticed the bolt heads, hoped it would fit, damaged the wall and had to repair it, then had to remove and reinstall all hangers with a plywood substrate, it took hours extra to complete. Would I buy it again, based on the overall quality of the parts and that its was less than 1/2 the price of the Homedepot, yes
