This dimmer switch and zigbee hub would be a great value for money, if only it had better documentation and support, and if only it didn't constantly lose its connection to the hub. The latter problem (reported by many users) is a firmware issue that should be fixed, but probably won't be. As for the many, many issues people have connecting this to the hub via the app in the first place, here's some practical advice that may help: 1. The device running the app must be on the same LAN as the hub. 2. Give the hub at least 90 seconds to boot and settle after connecting power. The little green power light should be on solid. The LED on the ethernet port at the back should be flashing as it communicates on the LAN. 3. Devices like the dimmer switch and sensors must be physically close to the hub to pair them. I can't stress enough how important this is. You are wasting your time if your device is more than 10 ft. from the hub when you try to pair, even if it can normally communicate with the hub at much greater distances after it is paired. 4. Select "add new device", select dimmer switch, or just plain U.S. switch if you can't find the dimmer. Stop on the screen where it tells you to check if the light on the device is flashing. 5. On the device, put it in pairing mode so that the light on the device is flashing. On the dimmer switch you must turn the power off/on at the breaker (works best). Or you can try the 5-button-presses-and-hold reset procedure that appears to put it in pairing mode after the reset, but in my experience that doesn't work for pairing. 6. Then proceed to the Search for Devices screen. You should see the green ring light around the button on the hub start to flash. Wait at least 30 seconds. If the dimmer switch doesn't appear in the app, start over (back to the pairing screen, switch breaker off/on, try to Search again). If you are lucky and you have followed directions about putting the hub close, you should only have to do this a couple of times. I sincerely hope that Primecables posts this advice to help others, because their installation leaflet is inadequate, and their support staff know nothing beyond what the leaflet says.

The dimmer switich will not connect to the hub no matter what I try, and it doesn't even function as a manual dimmer - it will only turn all the way on or all the way off. My advice is don't waste your time with it.

This hub works to connect the supported Livingwise/Orvibo Zigbee devices, but really it's a toy, not a practical device. It is supported only by the limited and poorly designed Livingwise and Orvibo HomeMate apps. It doesn't integrate with anything else: not Alexa, not Google Home, not IFTTT, not Homekit, not Home Assistant - nothing, which makes it pretty much useless for home automation. In addition it has the serious design flaw that it needs to be turned on manually with the On button when power is restored after a power failure, making it a poor choice for home security. There has been no attempt to upgrade the software functionality in 3 years. This product is a dead end. Don't waste your money.

Works as advertised. Cheaply made, probably not very durable, but what do you expect for this price? Comes in a plain white box of surprisingly small size with no instructions or documents of any kind. The control box is right at one end of the string, and isn't sealed for outdoor use, so a bit of covering tape might be wise if placing this outdoors. The 8 modes are printed on the controller, but annoyingly the "all on" mode that should be the default is #8, and requires pressing the button 7 times after plugging in.

Convenient solution. Punch-down block for wires is well spaced out and easy to use with any narrow punch blade, but beware non-sequential numbering of the slots. This is the cheapest unshielded Monoprice version, but works fine for gigabit speeds on Cat5e connection in my house.

Compact, simple, rugged, meets the performance specs (my personal test result: 130 Mbytes/sec read, 18 Mbytes/sec write, transferring large files via USB 3.0). That's a bit on the slow side writing, but expected performance at this price point.

Nothing much wrong with this tool at the low price - it's a standard angle grinder that takes standard 4.5" discs, does the job just fine. Packing could be a bit better (no padding, loose parts rattling around in the box). It includes a spare set of brushes for the motor, but the instructions for changing the brushes are a bit obscure. I'm a bit concerned that there's no safety lock on the power switch, so if it gets away from you it's likely to keep spinning at 11,000 rpm.

It works ok as a basic adjustable monitor stand, so that's the most important thing if you're just looking for something cheap. and basic. All the adjustments rely on friction tightness of screws, which can be hard to adjust to the correct degree of tightness and may loosen over time, so it's not the best product if you are making constant adjustments. The collar that attaches the arm to the pole has a single flimsy set screw to adjust the tightness, but it seems to rely mostly on friction from the weight of the monitor on the arm to grip the pole. Expect it to move down when you rotate the arm around the pole unless you support the weight. The tilt adjustment requires a wrench (not supplied) to tighten the bolts, or your monitor will be constantly sagging down. it's not really practical to rotate the monitor (vertical/horizontal orientation) on a regular basis because the hidden screw that holds the rotation angle will just come loose right away. This stand is most practical for someone who sets the position once and doesn't adjust it much. If you are constantly fiddling with it, the bolts are going to come loose and you'll need to keep tightening everything up. Two separate mounting options are provided: the table clamp as shown, and a drill-through-hole mounting plate. In addition to the plastic cable holders shown, 3 colored velcro cable ties are also provided. Some hex keys are provided, but you'll also want a small screwdriver and an adjustable wrench.
