+ : The build quality of the micrometer is surprisingly good. The ratchet works well and feels good. - : The case doesn't offer much protection. I would have gladly paid a few dollars extra for an enclosure with glued foam inside of it, or any other solution to protect it during shipping. Making things worse, the micrometer was out the plastic case and free in the cardboard box when I received it. A piece of tape to keep the plastic case closed would have prevented that. It is still a good tool for the price.

The quality is atrocious, even for the price. The milled faces have a really bad surface finish (see picture). The stated accuracy, as printed on the level, is 1mm over 1m. That means the level is useless even for hobbyist work. I am especially upset because of the misleading title and description. This is a toy, not a "professional grade" or "heavy duty" "tool".

The unit is built down to a cost, but not in a way that should affect safety or reliability. You can see pictures of the electronics in the FCC documentation (the manufacturer has changed name since then, but the product is the same): https://fccid.io/S72-WFU3/Internal-Photos/Internal-picture-3182061 One thing I don't like is the form factor. If you plug it in a wall outlet, it will obstruct the second outlet. It will fit in some power strips that are meant to accommodate for "power bricks" without blocking other outlets. It is a decent product considering the price point.
