Plug and play :-) Setup is about 1mn. Plug it to your TV, scan for channels and this is it. When changing channels, it may take 1/2 sec to get a stable HD image but this is the same with all passive antennas. This unit is not thicker than a piece of paper.It works as well as the ones sold in retail stores priced at 4x the cost.

Working as an IT supervisor for over 20 years, I have a lot of experience working with 3rd party suppliers. I was looking at this type of adapter to hookup and old laptop to a smart TV. My first search was on Amazon, but reading between the lines, most of the products proposed were cheaper and shipped from China. From the reviews, they seem unreliable. After reading few reviews of the product on Primecable, I decided to order one of these adapters. Shipping was fast and I received the product within 5 days (This included a week end). I started the old laptop plugged in the adapter and Windows (W10) instantly found the drivers and the image appeared on the TV but NO sound. This was a very easy fix (more a setup than a fix). After Windows has finished installing the driver, just right click the speaker icon on the task bar and select "Playback Devices". You then select "speakers 2-C- Media USB Headphone set" to output the sound to the HDMI connection. I found one snag... Not with the product but with the HDMI standard. I have an older 38" Samsung LCD TV (maybe 7 years old) and the resolution from the laptop is incompatible with the TV. However, it works well with all the newer TVs. I am giving a 5 stars and thumbs up to the product and the company. Best thing of all I am supporting a Canadian business HEY!
