used to add length to a lawn mower and an existing cable. works just fine. coating of the wire is not very malleable in winter temps however. Wire becomes very rigid... otherwise no complaints.

This is definitely worth it! I was debating buying a manual desk vs. an electrical. But I thought to myself that the likelihood of a manual breaking down was far less with a manual. Plus I couldn't get over the deal. I figured there had to be a catch. It had to be made of cheap material or kind of flimsy. In actually it is a very solid desk with a sturdy feel. I paired it with a 72" IKEA Karlby tabletop and it works beautifully. There is a tonne of surface area. Plus it looks amazing. My one small gripe 'was' that it made a ticking sound when lowering the desk but this went away after a few days of use. So no real gripe! It's much smoother and quiet now. The lowered desk position is a little high for my liking but my chair doesn't actually go up as high as I'd like, to be fair. I recommend this product!
