Seems to be a popular "on sale" item. I needed to replace the horrible plastic speakers I had. For the money spent, this is a great item. I did not find ANYTHING anywhere at that price that comes even close. I would buy a bluetooth combo next time, however.

I can only evaluate this as a connected pair. The setup is "woofie" (on flat settings) with very muddy mid range. At least the treble is not screechy. The effect is that it sounds like the system is installed in a cave. I purchased this for my dorm room and will be looking to upgrade in the very near future. I must admit that I am replacing a decent Class A amplifier known for its linearity and a pair of Yamaha studio monitors of about the same size but costing considerably more. If your ears are used to classical music in a decent hall, you will be greatly disappointed. As for pop/rock, I think most recording artists would suggest their music was not meant to sound this way. My gamer friends plan on getting this outfit but for watching movies, my senior aged friend claims he cannot make out the dialog at all.
