Delivered with box and loose bag. Looks like it was a opened box item. But items look undamaged. Haven't used as yet.

It kept hot water hot for at least 3-5 hours. After 12 hours water is hottish warm. The cap is very easy to get on and off. Just press in to seal. To take off, press the two tabs in the lid, then lift up. Overall, this is a very good performing carafe. I would recommend purchase. Even better if you can get on sale.

Cheap, poorly made. The heel piece bends easily and will come off from handle when used any length of time. Not worth the money.
