Works perfectly in a bedroom being used as a pantry beside a kitchen - not too utilitarian, not too bedroom-y, not too plain.

Much larger than I expected - the entry way it is in is very small but very high, I wanted something with more light and lower-hanging instead of the bare bulb way up high as what I had - so it keeps catching my eye as I walk by, thinking it's a bit out of place - but to my kids I'm now cool mom because they all (5 of them) think it's perfect - that's saying a great deal.

Use for a hallway in which we had 1 bulb up in the ceiling - so twice as much light and more pleasing to the eye.
