I wanted this because the port on my laptop is hard to reach because of all the ports so close together. I'm surprised with the female end looking a bit unfinished/basic. But it's working as expected with my external drive. Good value, why pay more.

I'm disappointed with this purchase. Normally I only find quality products here. It was a gift for my son. I think he kind of likes the mouse but the keyboard feels particularly cheap.
