Prise Keystone Cat6 punch down - blanc - PrimeCables®

Mostly OK. Out of four that I've tried installing, one of them had bad pins 1-2. Of the three that installed OK, my Klein 110 punchdown tool couldn't bite onto the sides of the jack enough to trim the wires with its built-in blade during punchdown, so I had to cut them off manually. Not a big deal, but not ideal either. Once installed, the jacks are working as expected.

I ended up not using this because I had got it to use with the low voltage mounting bracket from this site (Cab-7013) and it didn't work well with that. After installing the bracket, I first tried these keystone wall plates. They weren't a good fit. The screws that came with the plate were too small for the holes on the bracket. So, I ended up getting the Decora straps (i.e. WP-D1P-WH) that are designed to be used with a Decora plate. Those worked better because the strap is what's screwed into the bracket rather than the plate, so if you have to use larger screws on the strap, you can still cover up that decision with the plate. I still wasn't impressed with how securely the strap mounted to the bracket due to the poor fit of the screw, but it was better than with this keystone plate and ultimately with the strap installed and a standard Decora plate over top, it is a pretty secure installation.

The bracket itself is fine, but identifying appropriate wall plates if you want to use these with keystone jacks is confusing on the site. After installing the bracket, I first tried the keystone wall plates that are plates with the keystone hole cut out that are available on the site (i.e. Cab-6725). It wasn't a good fit. The screws that came with the plate were too small for the holes on the bracket. So, I ended up getting the Decora straps (i.e. WP-D1P-WH) that are designed to be used with a Decora plate. Those worked better because the strap is what's screwed into the bracket rather than the plate, so if you have to use larger screws on the strap, you can still cover up that decision with the plate. I still wasn't impressed with how securely the strap mounted to the bracket due to the poor fit of the screw, but ultimately with it installed and a standard Decora plate over top, it is a pretty secure installation. Anyway, in the end it's OK, but this stuff is so well standardized that I don't understand why it was as difficult as it was, unless something isn't to standard spec.
