I've purchased these before and they're great except for the locking mechanism which has a tendency to close and lock by itself while you're using the shears! Annoying, but I gave mine a bit of a twist so that it doesn't lock quite so easily but can still be locked manually.

Very tiny hooks - might be okay if your cups are delicate bone china with very thin handles but certainly not for any cups most people would have! I would use these for hanging jewelry or something equally delicate and thin.

The only thing I dislike about these shears is that the locking wire keeps slipping into the "lock" position while using them. I have purposely bent mine so that I can still lock it manually but it no longer locks by itself when the wire falls against the locking pin. Good shears and I have several.

Wouldn't exactly call this "heavy-duty" but more like medium-duty. Handy to have several pairs (tool box, gardening, etc.). Well built and a good price. I have several pairs.

The battery has good lasting power and the tool is fine for light duty use. At such a good price it would pay to get two -- one for drilling pilot holes and the other for screws, that way you don't have to keep changing bits. Very happy with mine!
