A DMX Terminator is used when you are using a lot of DMX fixtures in a line (daisy chained). A terminator is used to trick the transmitting device into thinking that the cable is an infinite length which stops the signal from the transmitter reflecting back down the cable, also known as shadowing. It removes a lot of interference on the DMX line which improves the quality of output from your fixtures. It is essential that a good quality cable is used as well to reduce noise and flickering. The terminator plugs into the out going socket at the end of the DMX line.

Terminate your DMX daisy chain using this 3-Pin DMX Terminator! This terminator consists of an anodized aluminum locking XLR body, with plastic cap and rubber boot. A 120-ohm resistor has been soldered between pins 2 and 3, allowing it to terminate DMX daisy chains.
