Our vibrant ROYAL BLUE fabric dye a refreshing way to energize classic neutrals; use accents in your wardrobe and home decor. TINTEX is the easy to use fabric dye which gives you fresh bright colors in your washing machine or by hand. For most washable fabrics. Not recommended for 100% polyester, 100 acrylics or fabrics with special treatments and finishes. Test before you dye.

Features

WHAT TINTEX CAN DYE: Tintex is NOT for 100% polyester or 100% acrylic fabric/material. Tintex Fabric Dye is created for most washable fabrics (example: cotton, linen, silk, nylon, acetate, rayon, wool and viscose). Blends are dyeable if the majority of your fabric is made of a 'suitable fabric' (example: 65% cotton 35% polyester).
PREPARE FABRIC BEFORE: Wash fabric so it is clean & damp before dyeing and for best results always do a fabric test before and adjust amount as needed.
HOW TO MAKE DIFFERENT COLORS: Darker colors use more dye, you can make pastels (with any color) by using less dye.
HOW MUCH TO USE: Use 55g for 1 pound (454g), of cotton, linen, silk, spandex & viscose; use 110g for 1 pound (454g), of nylon, acetate, rayon & wool; double the usual amount for dark or bright colors.

Dyeing Tips

Start with clean and damp fabric. Completely dissolve dye powder in very hot water(140°F/60°C).
Tintex is not suitable for 100% Acrylic or 100% Polyester fabrics.
Thoroughly mix dye powder with a cup or two (250ml to 500ml) of very hot water. Add the pre-dissolved dye solution to your dye bath. Add your fabric once all the dye solution is thoroughly mixed.
Agitation helps fabric absorb dye. Active dying times may vary from 20 - 60 minutes depending on fabric content and/or desired color intensity.
Avoid color transfer issues and wash/dry freshly dyed fabric alone or with similar colors.
Always follow the fabric special care instructions.
