I used it to make coffee at work when we did not have a machine. Works well, also made tea with it. I used it mostly as a french press rather than a mug, but it keeps the drinks warm for a long time.

It is a nice stainless steel travel mug. The "French Press" is an added bonus, but I don't use it that much. It keeps my coffee nice and hot while driving to work. The size of the cup is bigger compare to my old travel mug, and the base is wider as well. It doesn't fit all cup holder in the car. In general, I am happy with the mug since I got it on sale and free shipping.
