Had an MFC 450. Loved it. Now have 2 MFC-J650DW. One to take with me for school and work and one for home. Both excellent. Dad has an HL 2140 Laser. Another excellent machine. Have bought Canon, HP, and others but none come close to Brother. Easy use, easy set-up, easy ink change.

While this machine is printing well, it seems to want to spit our 2or three sheets at one time and the page is printed half on two sheets which I have to reprint. I am wasting a lot of paper! It does not like to print the greeting cards on the slightly heavier paper. My previous printer did not have this problem!! (Brother MFC-490CW) I also note that it calls for ink replacement when there is still quite a lot left in the cartridge but forces me to change it before it will print anything. All in all, I feel it is a poor investment since I opted for the slightly higher priced model!! HAR
