I use a cheap HP Chromebook that has three ports. This hub triples that and even allows me to access portable data storage from my SD cards - all in one hub. Most importantly I don't sacrifice any power or speed to/from my connected devices. The hub is pricey but is well built and should outlast my Chromebook.

This adapter hub is being used to connect peripherals, accessories, and SD cards to a MacBook Pro M2 that has only 2 Thunderbolt ports. A monitor that has a USB-C plug didn't work when plugged into the adapter's one USB-C data/power port, but that's okay because it works when plugged into one of the computer's Thunderbolt/USB-C ports, with the power supply plugged into the adapter's USB-C port.
