These are a nice long length/width to fully cover the TOPS ONLY of ordinary steps ...so not exactly as shown (as if these are a full runner they may also sell -?). But with a stairwell with walls on each side -also as shown- they will be fine. They have a thin backing to peel off, protecting the glue, so hope they stick well. They are not thick carpeting, but will suffice for our attic stair tops. (but not a heavy traffic area, like cellar stairs.) Happy with them for our needs here. :-)

I am not sure if I have a bad batch or if it's my stairs but these did not stick at all for me. I believe for these to stick you need to have perfectly smooth stairs as the backing indeed does not have any adhesive on it. I would also warn that the colour contrast of the brown is not as pictured.
