It was the right size for the space I needed. i keep it in the basment as a pantry shelf for storing packages of pasta, canned goods, canned drinks etc. The 2 sheets of plastic are a nice feature to store products such as cans and jars. The only draw back is when assembling the shelving and using a rubber mallet to put the shelves in place the metal is thin and easly bends out of shape. It took me a while to assemble
