Produces clear text/images, though the 12K page estimate is a bit exaggerated in my experience...perhaps with text only. In my case, with mixed content, it's roughly 5K pages at which point text is a little faded but images are very degraded. However, it's a great value for my use as compared to the original.

Compatible HP 11X Q6511X Black Toner Cartridge High Yield that I purchased from 123ink.ca is perfect. It's much cheaper than the OEM product and works fine. A lot of people have a fear of using a compatible cartridge and for a newer printer, still under warranty, I would agree, but at this point in the printer's life, I feel this compatible cartridge is fine and totally safe. Give it a try.
