I bought a drum a long time ago when the printer said, "replace soon." I bought a toner cartridge at the same time thinking it had already had considerable use. Because the print quality seemed good, I did not replace either one until a short while ago when the print quality was not quite as crisp. The new ones (stored for over a year) gave worse print, I then ordered new ones which I am using now with good results.
