Philips DVD-R 16x 4.7GB 50 Pack Inkjet Printable
I have ordered many of these 50-Packs of Philips Inkjet Printable DVD-Rs over the past few years totaling hundreds of discs. Until this order I had not experienced any problems except perhaps one or two discs that had a slight defect. However, the 50-pack I purchased at the end of Nov. 2016 contained 5 discs that were absolutely useless (including small deep scratches on the recording surface right out of the freshly opened package, and on this order from April 21, 2017 twelve of the discs were unrecordable and useless. The defect on all these bad discs were large sections - on the recordable side of the disc - that were discolored and showed wrinkling of the aluminum recording layer which is under the plastic/polymer protective layer. These bad sections ranged in size from that of a dime all the way up to a pie-shaped section right from the hub to the outer edge. Because of this (the Philips discs seeming to get worse and worse in quality as time passes) I have decided to try the RiData printable DVD-R discs instead which seem to have more positive customer reviews.
