Color cartrage didn't work

The color cartridge worked fine but the black cartridge would not be accepted by the printer. I visually inspected the contacts on the cartridge and the little copper circles were worn out in places. I support the recycling of cartridges and enjoy paying lower prices for a reasonable product but in this case it was money wasted. I had to go out and buy the HP product anyway and I paid $15 for a remanufactured cartridge that was no good. I do not know what the quality control is like for this particular company but it was clear that no one inspected this one cartridge - the damage to the product was obvious.

Once came with visible dirt/stain on the contacts and the other didn't work right off the bat. An "eraser" is provided to clean the contacts as well as instructions on how to wipe them down. Neither proved successful. A little taken back that I would receive cartridges in this shape. However, it could be just a bad batch and I have requested a replacement. Will update once I receive them.
