Brother cartridges are much better than generic ones. Still, some of them have little flaws, like a small rough spot on a roller that leaves a string of splotches on a page, or a rough line around the roller that leaves a line. I suppose I should return them, but I just switch to an unflawed one when I need better quality printing, then go back to the faulty ones for everyday stuff.
