This product completely failed after less than 14 months but because it was outside of the one-year warranty (by mere weeks) the business would not stand behind it. I don't have the confidence to do business with an operation that does not stand behind their products when they fail after such a short amount of time. I advise looking elsewhere for your solution.

Had to click 1 leaf to be able to Comment. I am glad i ordered this as I learned a lot. My research was incomplete. This was not suitable for my purpose, which was to connect AppleTV to a Monitor + Speakers. The Device maybe suitable for other uses. Apparently, such HDMI Audio Extractors are very varied. Some support AppleTV , some do not. Some support multiple devices like Apple TV, FireTV stick, PS3 etc. So far have not found suitable splitter for AppleTV -old version. will look further.

Ordered two of them, the first one wasn't working out of the box and the second one stopped working after 1 day of use. Will never buy this again.
