Careful! This product only tests continuity and cross-connected pairs are not detected! Sometimes, the white/brown and white/orange wires are reversed by accident when punched down and this detector will not indicate this, shows all is well. I checked both testers I had purchased against cross-connected cables and it did not detect a problem. I would not recommend this product for this reason.
