I bought this to replace one that I bought two years ago, which worked great until I accidentally plugged it into a live circuit. Then it started giving incorrect readings....my mistake. This new one is exactly the same, working great and very reliable! I'll just be careful about what I plug it into. One thing is different about this second one, that the zippered pouch it stores in. The first one had a leaver-like feel. This one, nylon.

Great product that works exactly as I had hoped. I have run cabling to my detached garage and was wondering how to test the connectors as the two ends are about 100 feet apart. Well, this does the trick. It comes with a great little case and even the 9V battery. I was trying to figure out how to separate the two components and then noticed a schematic on the packaging. The remote terminal (top piece) slides to the right. Battery and instruction manual are in the case so be sure to open the case before you start trying to figure out how it works.
