Monoprice® Indoor / Outdoor TV Antenna - Up to 50 Mile Range
I was EXTREMELY happy with it at first, was able to get 9 channels downtown montreal all in HD while it was simply resting on the dresser. But then I decided to mount it on the wall and I realized that it does not work well that way at all. So I gave up with the wall mount because I did not want to drag it outside (which would work much better) but I was not able to place it in a way it was before and I cannot receive all 9 channels that I received before. Excellent product but would work better if you mount it outside.
Excellent product, I get 9 digital channels downtown Montreal with excellent reception and HD format, and I even have it inside the condo not outside. Global/CTV/CBC(Both in french and english) and 3 others, everything else on cable is pretty useless anyway. Considering what makes up an antenna I would expect it to be a little cheaper, but it is worth much more in terms of the savings from the cable bill, and I liked this one a little more than the alternatives, but the $15 dollar antennas could very well be just as good.
Can get some OTA HDTV channels but all of the. Pretty small and the plastic won't last in the cold outside.
My husband uses it in his semi truck and says it depends on where you are - some places you get more stations than others but it's still better than his old antenna.
Further to my 1st review. The signal is weak at indoor ground floor. I then go to second floor, it can receive 6 channels. when I installed it in the Attic, the signal is much better and can get 9 channels mainly CBC, Omni, Global, YTV, City TV .....etc. in Markham area. but seems cannot get any USA channels in my area. The picture on the TV screen is sharp and high definition.
Lack of detail manual. Actually I tried indoor without any signal. The red light for power input is not ON after plug in AC. Not sure it is working or not. I checked my TV manual it should be come with turner. May be I need to try it outdoor.
