Premier Series 1/4inch (TS or Mono Phono) Male 16AWG Audio Cable (Gold Plated) - Primecables®
Not so hot soundwise, great construction. When I did an A/B test with four other guitar cables (lengths 18,15,10,10 feet), to my surprise they all sounded more dynamic and lively, with more treble than this one (15 ft length). I think it's because conductor is a thick 16 awg, which no other guitar cable maker uses (they must know something). Even turning up treble on guitar or amp does not compensate fully, as I think you lose something. 16 awg is like what is used in lamp cords, and is one step away from 14 awg house wiring fyi. Other guitar cables typically 20, 22, 24 awg. It must make a difference with capacitance or inductance of signal path. The end plugs are beautiful and the cable has a thick rubber coating making it look extremely solid. Though well intentioned, I think the Chinese manufacturer has not looked into what wire gauges are actually best for audio cables. Unfortunately I bought a 35 foot length on sale and cut it to make two 15 foot lengths, so cannot return. (And no, my new soldered plugs (which are actually right angles from the same manufacturer) are not the cause of above problem, as I know what I'm doing).
Does the job right.
