The cable works. I also have the L shaped ending one as well. I prefer this one. The L shaped one I ordered is the transparent version but I think blue one looks better. 18inch should be more than enough for most of the connections. I have a big case and it still reaches most of the connections. Only connections that I couldn't connect are the ones that I have to send cable through the back for the cable management.

Colour is really cool-looking. Works great for the 3.5" hard drive and 2.5" SSD I tested it with. Locking latch works great.
