Let me preface this by saying I've been a red seal ticketed electrician for 13 years now and I have dealt with all kinds of cables; teck cables, loomex, instrumentation cables, fire alarm cables, security cables, 2hr fire rated cables, pyrotenax cables and the list goes on. Part of my job is purchasing the correct cable for the job and conditions. With all of that being said, this cable is NOT UL or ULC rated, consequently I highly doubt this cable is indeed in wall rated. Proper cables are marked right on the cable with all of their classifications (AIC, CIC, NMD90, etc), as well as the Canadian approved agency that issued said classification (ULC, CSA, Intertek Canada, to name a few). The only certification found for this cable is on the cardboard reel which bears the "CE" markings which, actually, means nothing in Canada; CE certification is an approval in Europe. So not only is the cable missing its Canadian approved agency markings, it actually has 'conductor' misspelled...(see pic) I decided to use the cable anyways simply due to the fact that inspectors really don't care too much about speaker cabling. I actually kind of like the cable, just don't advertise it as having UL and ULC listings when it simply does not.

Dear customer Thank you for pointing out the misspelling issue, we do apologize for this mistake and will ask the factory to correct that. This cable does not have the CSA and cUL certification and we had never listed these certifications on the product page. it only has the CL2 low voltage rating under UL and NEC standard which can be used for residential riser application, if your project requires CSA or cUL certified cable then we do suggest you to purchase those cables which are listed with CSA and cUL certification instead, we do carry them in the speaker wire catalog as well. Thanks
