Highly doubt it is actually gold plated but at that price what did you expect. Just what i needed, works great. Alway likr the customer service at this company and the free shipping by metro. Couldn't be any more convenient. Even more convenient than stopping by the store. You can simply order online and the same day in the afternoon pick up for free from the metro deppaneur. Genius!
