It works with some love and effort. It doesn't come with any screws, and the holes on either side are so wide that you definitely don't have screws lying around that are wide enough to hold the thing down. Not to mention, but for no reason whatsoever, the holes are raised about 1/2 an inch so even if you do find good screws it will be raised. I suggest hot-glue and bend the hooks to close the gap.
