Seems to only work on older laptops. I have a new Dell XPS 13 and a 2 year old Lenovo X230. The adapter tips did not fit either laptop. I called Targus support and their advice was to buy a newer power adapter as this one was years old and newer tips would not fit.. So I seem to have bought an oversized and overpriced phone charger.

None of the adapters fit Thinkpad X201. One fits Dell 15z but would not charge it.
