The HDMI cable works fine at least up to 1200p60 and looks like the generic quality you'd expect for the price. The optical cable looks like quite decent quality but out of the two cables I ordered, three of the fiber ends look rough, as if they were simply cut instead of polished, which causes sound to cut off if the fiber end has anything less than firm contact beyond simply "clicking" them in at the receiving end. The polishing pad needed to fix the optical cables is going to cost more than the cables did. Another option might be a tiny amount of index-matching fluid, again more expensive than the cables were.
