Don't really hate it. Be aware - the "keystone" specification has been altered by most everyone, except the original AMP AMP, Leviton, Hubbell, Panduit, Siemon, Commscope ( Tier 1 ) will not work seamlessly between themselves. Offshore, interestingly enough do work since they stayed with the original Keystone specification ( suspect its AMP ) .....they work until such time as they introduce their own connectors - then its a problem. The materials they use may not be strong enough to handle a Tier 1 connector An AMP type connector is made of fairly robust plastics - if you are able to find an offshore product, chances are you will snap the holding plastic unless the product is made to strict AMP /Keystone specification. Hope I am clear about it. For most users doing light work, keep the connectors/faceplates/surface mount boxes in the same family. For professionals - well , you know what to do. ** Other than AMP ( now Commscope ) has anyone found a surface mount box / wall plate that handles AMP keystone connectors ? I know WBOX faceplates work well but I have not tried these ones from Prime. Thanks , Liv
