It is the only adapter I could find to connect my old PC vga to my monitor with hdmi. Good product.

I should have read the reviews before purchasing this converter. I wanted it to connect to the hdmi port on the laptop to show a picture on an older VGA video projector. THIS IS THE WRONG ADAPTER FOR THIS. Prime has another adapter that does this correctly. Was cheerfully refunded, after finding out this does not work for my application. I took the cover off and googled the part number inside - this is what I got: This product is a VGA video converter. It converts VGA signal into complete HDMI and allows PC users to enjoy their larger image on the display. The Converter uses USB audio that allows you to enjoy high quality sound on the HDTV. Besides, the USB port also supplies power to this converter.
