Not enough Ink. The brother cartridge fits as it should of course, it's made for the machines so no issues there. Ink quality is very good. BUT it ran out very quickly, I did not expect that to happen as I only buy the high yield so I had not taken notice of the page count to be exact. But this cartridge only lasted 1/2 as long, or less than the usual ones I buy. I have been using Brother printers with a generic brand of ink without issue for probably 8 years now. Will be going back to it.
