I'm very pleased with this nylon speaker mount. I have used it to add a waterproof speaker to my tub. With the steel mounting plate painted and nylon as a material able to tolerate a moist environment this has turned out perfect. I did slightly modify the metal plate for installation: Since I was installing this against ceramic tiles I enlarged the metal plate holes to 1/4" and used toggle bolts to secure this to the wall.

It’s fine. Solid. But not very compatible with my Monoprice HY-35 speakers. They block the port on the back.
