Works exactly as I expected it to. Folds up nice and small for portability, but easily folds out into a sturdy stand. Even with a larger tablet (I've used it with my Surface Pro 3 and Note Pro 12.2) it holds the tablet firmly. Initially out of the package the top arm slowly slipped down under the weight of the surface pro, but that was easily fixed by tightening the screw with a Philips screw driver. Would definitely purchase again.

It is perfect for you to put your ipad on it especially when you are looking at a game or a movie. My grandson likes it.
