Very sturdy product. I have Pendaflex files that have been “hanging” in there for decades! The folder has never torn on me., not even with a heavy load of paper files. However, the metal bracket that suspends the file can sometimes loosen and slide through the sleeve if the weight of the file is too heavy. This is rare though. I don’t mind spending more to have a file system that works well. Would recommend as my #1 choice!

The Pendaflex SureHook family of reinforced hanging file folders not only come in a distinctive rainbow of bright colours, they also come in a variety of sizes ranging from under 1" to 3" or even 4" depending on how thick a particular stack of papers has become. Even for lower capacity files, the bottoms are reinforced with tape so as to prevent an unsuspectingly heavy file from bottoming out!

These folders are much stronger than the regular ones. Worth the extra cost.
