      The USB-C port (female) port did not work on the original item I received. To their credit customer service was great, I sent it back and had a replacement one really quick. Sadly though the replacement one had the exact same defective port.

        bought this adapter last week, got it today. I was eager to use it, but found out that the HDMI output doesn't work. tried 3 different monitors( ASUS, Samsung, Lenovo) and 3 different HDMI cables, the adapter worked on NONE. very disappointed to this brand. I also ordered cable ( USB-C to DisportPort), that cable doesn't work either. I have Macbook Pro. my existing cables and adapters are working fine. just thought to buy these cables for my kid as the price is good, but none of their cables and adapters worked.

          I bought two of these dongles and initially loved them. They look great, well priced, and they are more useful (power, USB-A, HDMI, and ethernet!) than any of Apple's official accessories. Tested them with the power passthrough (USB-C) and HDMI, both worked as well as expected. But... then I noticed that my 2.4GHz wifi does not work (or performs very poorly) while these dongles are connected, even if there are no other plugs connected to the dongle. Both dongles cause the same issue. I was able to mitigate some of the wifi degradation by wrapping the dongle in aluminum foil, creating an RF shield; this only caused 25% reduction in wifi bandwidth. I was also able to switch to a different wifi network using the 5GHz band to overcome the issue. Doing some research, it looks like insufficient RF shielding is a problem in a lot of USB 3.0 devices and many MacBook users have had similar issues with dongles. I was surprised to find no similar reports in the comments for this product. Is it just that both of the items sent to me were incorrectly manufactured? Can PrimeCables do anything to make this right?

          The USB connector intermittent, The Type C feed through indicates that it is charging but actually does not. I'm am returning it for a replacement
