12-Outlet Surge Protector Power Strip with 4.75ft Cord 125V/15A - PrimeCables®
very big
I receive nothing the box was empty the only thing in it was packaging material this is a scam don't waste your money
I am giving a one star review after getting an electric shock. A power strip needs to be designed in such a way that it prevents mistakes. I inserted an ungrounded power brick incorrectly and one of the prongs was exposed and I touched that and got shocked by that. The strip could have been made wider to eliminate any possibility of inserting only one prong and leaving the other prong exposed. This being entirely made of metal, however, and the metal housing has to be grounded, poses a dilemma: it seems like to whoever was designing this, that causing a circuit breaker to trip was not acceptable, but exposing the user to an electric shock risk was fine. Well, circuit breakers are tripped to protect human beings, right? You can still make the insulation wider to both not trip the circuit breaker and not shock the user if an ungrounded plug is made impossible to incorrectly inserted. This is ETL listed and I am surprised that ETL doesn't have any regulations or guidelines on design?
order was delayed and on top of it Was sent used item power bar was scratched on sides\ screw package was opened didn't expect this from Prime cables
have not rec'd the item yet.
Just received the 2nd generation. The outlets are good for upside down installation but the screws supplied by Primecables with the mounting brackets were very poor quality. I tried two and the heads snapped up both times before being fully driven in, now I have snap screw edges on the underside of my desktop and ended up switching to my own screws to attach the power strip. Disappointing considering the amount of effort that will be involved in removing or cutting the screws flush.
